Natural Stone / Stone / Concrete

An Integrated Way of Working

United Façades innovative solutions enable the use of both natural and man-made stones throughout a variety of construction scenarios. These materials show the weathering behaviour of a traditionally applied stone finish.

The major benefits of stone cladding are its aesthetic appeal, its strength and most importantly its durability. With a vast number of possibilities, these solutions can enhance the look of any interior or exterior in any building.

While offering a traditional or modern look, with newer rainscreen techniques this system offers back-ventilated and has an interior drainage cavity to help remove moisture.

A wide variety of natural stones of sedimentary, metamorphic or igneous rocks; man-made stones, concrete and glass-reinforced concrete(GRC) comes in many sizes, colours, patterns, textures and finishes.

STRUCTURAL BONDING
CLADDING SUPPORT SYSTEM

This CWCT certified Support system is made of non-combustible class A1 rated aluminium. The system consists of horizontal and vertical rails (or T-Angle rails), thermally isolated fortis helping hand brackets, and the main anchor used to fix the system to the structure.

Stainless steel is also available as an option.

SYSTEMS OVERVIEW

One of the most important aspects of stone cladding is durability. Whatever the type of stone; they are exceptionally strong, dense and well suited for cladding applications.

Weathering characteristics of stones are different and should be considered as a part of the project.

Some of the most used stone properties are;

Granite is known for the permanence of its colour and texture as well as for its durability.

Basalt is a volcanic stone suitable for both interior and exterior cladding applications. It has extremely high insulation properties.

Limestone offers aesthetic diversity with its range of colours and textures.

Marble with its unique look and properties still stays glorious though it comes with its cost and disadvantages.

GRC is suitable for complex shapes and projects that require great weight savings without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. Colour and texture options are limitless.

POPULAR NATURAL STONE SELECTION

We offer an extensive list of natural stones like; granite, travertine, limestone, sandstone, dolomite, marble, basalt, onyx, schist and many more.

GLASS REINFORCED CONCRETE (GRC)

Glass fibre reinforced concrete is a type of concrete containing fibrous glass material uniformly distributed and randomly oriented in concrete to achieve greater structural integrity. This enables to have the final product as thin as possible without sacrificing strength and durability. This fabrication method also results in massive weight savings compared to similar materials.

This material and accompanying cladding support system is suitable for projects with high aesthetic demand, make use of 3 Dimensional shapes, varying surfaces and different colours.

Although colour and texture options are unlimited in GRC, some most preferred colours are;
